Mounjaro Dosage Guide
Understanding the Mounjaro (Tirzepatide) dosing schedule is key to maximizing weight loss while minimizing side effects.
Mounjaro is taken as a weekly injection. You start on a low dose to allow your body to get used to the medication, then gradually increase the dose every 4 weeks until you reach a maintenance dose that works for you.
The Dosage Schedule

*Always follow your prescriber's advice. You may stay on a lower dose if it is effective and you are losing weight.
How to Inject Mounjaro
Prepare
Wash your hands. Check the pen to make sure the liquid is clear and colourless. Attach a new needle.
Select Site
Choose an injection site: your stomach (at least 5cm from belly button), thigh, or upper arm.
Inject
Insert the needle. Press and hold the dose button until the counter shows 0. Hold for 5-10 seconds to ensure full dose delivery.
Forgot Your Injection?
Within 4 days (96 hours): Administer the missed dose immediately. Proceed with your next scheduled injection on the usual day.
Beyond 4 days: Do not take the missed dose. Wait until your next scheduled day to resume. Never inject a double amount to compensate.
