Treatment Schedule

Saxenda Dosage Guide

Saxenda is a daily injection. Following the correct titration schedule helps your body adjust to the medication effectively.

Unlike Mounjaro or Wegovy which are weekly, Saxenda is taken once every day. You start at a low dose of 0.6 mg and increase by 0.6 mg each week until you reach the full dose of 3.0 mg.

The Dosage Schedule

Week 10.6 mgStarting Dose

*If you cannot tolerate the 3.0 mg dose due to side effects, your doctor may advise you to stay on a lower dose or discontinue treatment.

How to Use the Saxenda Pen

1

Dial the Dose

Turn the dose selector until the counter shows your prescribed dose (e.g., 0.6 mg).

2

Inject

Insert the needle into your skin (stomach, thigh, or upper arm). Press and hold the dose button until the counter returns to 0.

3

Count to 6

Keep the needle in your skin and count slowly to 6 to ensure the full dose is delivered.

Skipped a Daily Injection?

If under 12 hours have passed: Administer your Liraglutide dose right away.

If over 12 hours have elapsed: Forego the missed dose entirely. Resume your normal daily schedule tomorrow.

Never administer a double amount to replace a forgotten injection.

If multiple days (3+) are missed: Seek medical guidance, as restarting at the initial 0.6 mg step may be required.
